I've never understood the idiom "You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar." In my experience, flies don't like either one all that much. They *do* like beer, and anecdotal evidence seems to indicate that being mildly drunk might help the interlocutory discussion.

On the other hand, who wants flies?
