Interesting that the passive bug story is now discounted. Actually, listening for low level signals reradiated from high power illuminating beams on the same frequency has its problems.
A sales tag that came into my hands recently, in the form of a planar coil appeared to resonate around 100 MHz. But these things have some non linear device (a diode?)
to reradiate harmonics as I hear....
