I believe that the best known greenhouse gas is H2O. It is 100 times more abundant than CO2. The molecule and its dimers and trimers have many ways to absorb IR, cutting out CO2's role in absorbing IR - because H2O has already absorbed it. Except in some small regions of the IR spectrum where H2O does not absorb, does CO2 become a greenhouse gas. Here, as the concentration of CO2 increases, each further increase in concentration produces less of a greenhouse effect than the previous because when radiation has been absorbed, it is not available to be absorbed further.

NF3 will have to fight hard.

Attention-worthy, but note it is at present only one scientist's take on the dangers of NF3 (nitrogen trifluoride).

Of course, both GB and the US are poised to obsolete pre-digital over-the-air TVs and create a huge demand for LCD replacements.
