If I had nothing better to do, I would look at a familiar distant building through an astronomical telescope for several days (without looking at anything else directly). Then I would look at the same building directly. Would it be seen as inverted? I do not think so. The main point is that the question can be answered experimentally, in case someone is really interested. An ideal task for a sick person? A very primitive small telescope can easily be built using two common lenses.
