There is a continuum of values in mass-production - unless its a
precision-trimmed line anyway. What is rejected at one nominal
value is a pass at another, or to put it another way, the product
is sorted....
I got a faint queasiness at the comparable idea of co sorting
(for example) auto engine pistons and bores for a uniform
free -play.
How does a repairer get the very best replacement fit,
this way?
