In relation to my search for an oscilloscope simulation John Denker writes :

I refer those interested to http://www.virtual-oscilloscope.com/ in which it is stated /inter alia/:

“The oscilloscope simulation shown on this website is based on ………”

The procedures described therein would appear to be consistent with the following widely accepted definition of “simulation”:

The act of imitating the behaviour of some situation or some process by means of something suitably analogous (especially for the purpose of study or personnel training)
