[Phys-l] Senior Teaching Fellow (post-doc) Position in Physics at Colorado

All,

University of Colorado Physics Department is looking for a senior teaching fellow (STF) / post-doc to work with departmental faculty on helping improve physics education in the department using a research-based approach. This is not a traditional PER research post-doc, as the focus of the position is on partnering with and facilitating departmental faculty to set learning goals, develop new teaching resources that are aligned with research, and implement and test new teaching practices. However, common PER research methods (student interviews/observations, assessment of learning, etc) will be used as part of carrying out this work, and this will naturally lead to some research questions that can be asked and answered in the process of working with faculty and students on these efforts. Publication of these results is encouraged.

Please forward this to anyone you know who might be interested.

Thanks,
Kathy
