bc, thinks Brian's clock may be a variation of the Rudd or Shortt clock.


Though I believe BC has pointed to it before, I am glad for this
animation of Shortt's method.
I believe that the spring's stiffening of the losing slave's swing
had entirely eluded me in my youth.
