p.s. for those mystified, "Einstein and the Existence of Atoms", (AJP) in which Perrin is referred.

p.p.s. he also may be the first to use oleic to measure the size of that molecule, an experiment described in my HS text (ca. 1953) -- his speech refers to it and other methods that "prove" the discontinuous nature of matter. It's very long!
