Right; I found in an old (ca. 2001) Radio Amateur Mag. an article on how to modify a Uniden (Not yours, unfortunately.); if I remember correctly, to vary the slew rate.

bc, who thinks checking w/ the Microwave "Ham" community (surprisingly large!) might help.
