Sorry if my postings have been even more unclear than usual.
I've had a lot of distractions lately.
Anyway ... I cobbled up the phase space diagrams to go along with
the thin-lens ray-tracing diagrams. There are also a few words of
explanation, mostly a cleaned-up version of recent postings.
