[Phys-L] Re: THE WEDGE STRATEGY of The ID Movement

Demo. and Rep. are just not very meaningful labels. The South was
Demo. because it was not the party in power when slavery was abolished
and defended jim crow, etc. When under great pressure, and I like to
think some enlightenment, LBJ signed a black rights bill, he predicted,
as he signed, the South would liquify.

Rick!

I think you ideology may be trumping your vision. Are you implying
because the correlation is more accurately between counties, or better
(scrolling down further) w/ rural counties, and, therefore, has nothing
to do w/ the incidence of slavery?

Well Bernard, just remember until very recently this same region of the U.S.
was called the SOLID SOUTH--that is solidly DEMOCRATIC! Besides the counties
correlation is across the nation--other than for the New England states, and
plenty of states that were not 'slave' states voted for Bush.

So, I don't know what point you are trying to make here from your
socialistic view point--but it is lost on me! ;-)
