[Phys-L] Spam request. Was: Re: PKAL information request

People, especially Rick:

I almost deleted RS's request, as the subject line appeared to be spam
or a scam.

Since I don't remember knowing anything about Project Kaleidoscope, it
wouldn't have mattered; still ...

About 50%, some days > 80%, of my mail is spam, phishes, etc. so I must
be ruthless. Until I registered w/ the DOD I got about one a week.
since NPS has "laid me off", I may end this when my registration
expires, by changing my e-address.

bc, p***ed

Can someone out there give me some information on PKAL -- Project Kaleidoscope (sponsored by NSF and others) with web page www.pkal.org

Have they done good work? Are their conclusions, recommendations, findings, or suggestions worth consideration? Are they consistent with all the other people suggesting ways to improve undergraduate math, science, engineering, and technology education?

Cheers,

Rick Swanson
