[Phys-L] Re: The Republican War On Science

To the members of this list -- evidently I must apologize for posting
this > ten hours after I knew Chris was to be interviewed. As is usual
for the Morning Show the host set aside ~ 15 min. for listener call in.
During this time Bob, for example, might have had the opportunity to
attack the author directly. I estimate about 10% of the in callers are
hostile. Hosts do cut some of them off, but not until they've made
their point -- they also cut off long winded members of the choir. In
this case one caller asked a question to which Chris answered he hadn't
researched that subject, and, therefore, couldn't comment.

bc, instead of FOX, listens to the propaganda organ of The People's
Republic of Berkeley

P.s. I plan to "see" him at the Capitola Book Café tonight. He speaks
tomorrow at the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco -- almost a people's
republic -- noon tomorrow.

The subject line is absurd. The is no more a Republican "War" on
science then there is a Democratic "war" to turn the country
socialist. These are positions taken by extremists on both sides
and we must guard against ALL of this nonsense.

I was amused that your link led to a radio station from the
People's Republic of Berkely :-)
