The cartoon is somewhat ironic in that:
1. Isaac Newton was a practicing alchemist.
2. Copernicus and other early astronomers, even into the 17th century
earned their living providing to their patrons (today called funding
agencies) astrological predictions upgraded with their newest
astronomical discoveries.
3. It was Einstein who claimed "God does not play dice", to which Nie=
ls
Bohr reportedly responded, "Einstein, stop telling God what to do."
4. In the early 20th century, phrenology was a tool of scientists
studying evolution and anthropology.
