[Phys-L] activities with magnets

While throwing away what I will no longer need I found a folder,
labeled magnets, with two short descriptions. They were drafts of what
I wanted to publish as notes in The Physics Teacher, about 15 years
ago. The first was about an activity with an electromagnet;  the second
was an activity with a magnet falling inside a copper tube. These notes
were just posted at:
