Joe Redish will be honored this evening at the National Academy of Sciences with the NSF Director's Award for Distinguished Teaching Scholars.
The NSF Director's Award for Distinguished Teaching Scholars honors individuals who have made outstanding contributions to research in their discipline as well as to the education of undergraduates and/or K-12 teachers and students. It is the highest honor bestowed by the National Sceince Foundation for excellence in both teaching and research. The 2005 Awardees are:
