Actually three observations, minimum.

One the experimenters.
Two the photographer.
Three the web person

And likely more.

bc, who wouldn't let this get on his web site.

p.s. I checked over 20 pics from that class and found only two w/ a
woman (most just showed the apparatus). The second has her and two men
posing, so "neutral".

p.p.s not a 50/50. Typically 20%? women in a modern Physics class. Or
do you mean one always does and the other clerks?

Maybe it's typical, maybe it's not ... but you're
going to need more than a single observation to
prove the point, especially when the null hypothesis
is a 50/50 distribution.

So far the data is _entirely_ consistent with the
null hypothesis.
