Re: black hole information (non)paradox

Actually a great Black Hole website was just recommended to me:
Galactic Center Research at the Max Plank Society

This site shows time-lapse images (actual data, not simulation)
of stars at the center of our galaxy orbiting around what is almost
certainly a black hole ...

This is certainly a compelling series of observations, especially
impressive when displayed in "movie" format. Well worth waiting for the
lengthy download! Thanks, Dan.

This is probably ho-hum stuff to younger folks, but it is astonishing to
me how much technological progress has been made in astronomy and
astrophysics within my lifetime! When I first studied astro back in the
60's, the galactic center was "hidden" by great fields of dust and
shrouded in mystery. Now here I am just 40 years later downloading 1
micron K-band images of the galactic central parsec from Germany while
sitting in my home office! What a great time for a fan of applied
physics to be living in!

Best wishes,

Larry
