APPARATUS COMPETITION AT SACRAMENTO MEETING

The 129th AAPT National Meeting in Sacramento, CA will feature an
Apparatus Competition. Prizes range from $100 up to $1,000. Request
Apparatus Competition entry materials by June 1, 2004; the requested
deadline for Apparatus Competition applications is July 1, 2004. To obtain
an entry form or to get more information about the competition, please go

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN COACHING THE 2005 U.S. PHYSICS TEAM?

AAPT is looking for a physics teacher to coach the 2005 U.S. Physics Team.
You must be able to work with young physics students and solve difficult
physics problems based on basic physics principles.

To apply you will need:
- a statement of interest
- a current vita that includes the names and contact information of two
AAPT members to serve as references
- letters of recommendation from your two references in support of your
application.

Deadline: is July 1, 2004, with appointment beginning September 1, 2004.


ENDOWMENT FOR FOREIGN PHYSICS TEACHERS

The Harold Q & Charlotte Mae Fuller Fund is accepting nominations. This
endowment fund is for physics teachers in developing countries with
nonconvertible currencies. This endowment provides a two-year membership
in AAPT. If you are interested in receiving additional information or a
