Grants up to $1,000 Available for WYP 2005 Outreach Activities
The AAPT Bauder Fund Committee requests proposals from AAPT members for funds to promote the World Year of Physics 2005. The Bauder Fund will provide grants of up to $1,000 for outreach activities such as WYP 2005 demonstration shows for the public, make-and-take workshops for K-12 teachers, WYP 2005 displays for libraries and similar public places, and other similar activities. Funds can be requested for supplies, promotional items and similar materials used in the outreach activity. The proposals should include a detailed budget, a description of the event(s) or activity where the promotion will take place, and the planned date(s) of the events/ activity. A report of the event/activity suitable for inclusion in the Announcer should be submitted to AAPT following the event.
Proposals should be submitted by July 15, for consideration by the Bauder Fund Committee at the 129th National Meeting in Sacramento, or by Dec. 31, for consideration at the 130th National Meeting in Albuquerque.
