I didn't single out Christianity. I made the point that a core value of
science, skepticism, is hardly encouraged in most religions. Mixing science and
religion is always a very bad idea. Hence we have creation science and its big
brother, intelligent design. Nevertheless some top ranking scientists are
practicing Christians, Moslems or Jews. Howard Georgi and the late Abdus Salam come
to mind here. The key here is to avoid scientific and theological
entanglement.
