Re: dinner with Eric Cornell

James...

Will you be providing travel funds to international list members of
Phys-L? Or is that not low-key :^)

Greetings everyone,

As you all know, in roughly two weeks time Eric Cornell will be
visiting
us to give a Sells Lecture, with the public lecture occurring at 7:30pm
of Thursday, March 18.

We plan to gather a group for dinner with him that evening at 5:30.
The
intention is to make this a low-key event, since it immediately
precedes
the lecture. For instance, we'll be dining at the Big Tree Inn so that
it is easy to get to the lecture hall.

At this point, I'd like to determine how many wish to attend, so that I
can make appropriate reservations. You are all invited. However, in
keeping with the low-key nature of the dinner, we are not encouraging
spouses or families to attend. Expenses will be covered by the Sells
Lecture fund.

Please respond by Monday, March 15. Thanks very much.
