Subject: Igniting Creative Energy Challenge Kickoff

October 2003

The National Energy Foundation is pleased to announce the third annual
Igniting Creative Energy Challenge. The Challenge is an educational
competition designed to encourage students to learn more about energy
and the environment.

ONE Teacher and THREE Students will be named as Grand Prize Winners.
Each Grand Prize Winner will receive a hosted trip to Hawaii for two
from April 13 - 18, 2004 to experience the educational trip of a
lifetime. This journey "from the center of the earth to the outer
universe" will include visits to Volcano National Park, a
world-renowned
observatory, tropical forests, and Hawaii's black sand beaches. The
estimated retail value of a Grand Prize Trip is $3,500 - $4,000,
depending on airline fares.

Winners will also participate in the National Energy Efficiency Forum
in
Washington D.C., June 15 - 16, 2004, where they will share their
Challenge entries and ideas with government officials and energy
leaders
from across the nation.
