Re: AEQ- the organization

I assume that many others on this listserve
are also unfamiliar with "AEQ".

What is a (an) AEQ ?
What (if anything) are the salary and perks of the
Senior Executive Editor's job?
Who is the publisher of AEQ?
Who takes the responsibility for the Senior Editor's
works when he is absent for more than a month?

What kind of "recognition" do you feel that a Senior
Executive Editor should get for the job that
you have done already?

Except for the publisher, everyone at AEQ is a volunteer. I received
absolutely no perks for being in charge of AEQ. There were two other
executive editors who shared responsibilities and ably took over when
I was away. The publisher Steve Pec is a former junior college
instructor, who was editor-in-chief when AEQ was bankrolled by
Chatanooga college. Steve on retirement took it over. I would say
that the publisher at the very least owed me the courtesy of sending
me an email asking me to resign. He never felt that I was doing a bad
job-to the contrary, but was instead mad at one of the other
executive editors and took it out on the three of us. He announced to
the listserv of editors of AEQ that the posts of executive editors
were vacant with no warning.

Best wishes

Calvin
