Just to add extra observation on the flicker topic. While typically not an
issue with static situations, it can get a little interesting when doing
something a little faster paced. I used to be able to get a real nice
stroboscopic effect under old-style fluorescent lights with a ping-pong
paddle being moved back and forth quickly.
