You offer an inconsistency here and this is very dangerous.

Dangerous? yes, but for WHOM???

There is no rational scheme in which the statements "clocks on the
train are slower" and "clocks in the rest frame are slower" could
coexist. Even if you see some special way in which they do coexist,
the whole story should by no means be taught to students - only
high level experts should discuss it at high level meetings.

It is EXACTLY this 'mindblowing' aspect of relativity that
makes it an important part of EVERY 'liberal' education.

And herein lies the RUB!!!!

If your worldview, collection of 'rational schemes', is not ready to
accept the basic point that EACH observer is entitled (encouraged?)
to proclaim that THEIR reference frame is as valid as any other
reference frame, then you are not yet ready to consider the
implications of the postulates.

If the results are not acceptable (to you), then the foundation(s)
from which the results are derived are not acceptable either.

case closed (?)

The experiments DO verify the results - so we FORCE ourselves to
accept the foundations that predict these results. (until a better
set of explanations comes along)
