Re: T. BASIC or visual (Excel?)

Now, I'm no programmer, but I have read a little on Visual Basic. Yes, VB
is used in excel, and other microsoft apps. (word, powerpoint, access) but
made it's debut in excel and has gone through a few versions (the latest is
7?). There is Basic.net, which I'm not too familiar with, but it does have
something to do with integration with the net like posting and transferring.
IMHO, if I was going to learn a new language, I'd pick the latest one (which
should have the best longevity), and that would be either VB7 (6?) or .net
(probably .net now). From what I've seen, it looks like it's not that much
different from other basic languages. The nice thing about Basic vs. VBasic
is that you can write stand alone apps. I can't remember the book, but it
was something like "programming cookbook" or something which was very
helpful. Hope this helps some.

I've programmed my Cassio with the second order diff. eq. [d^2 I/dt^2 =
Q (R,C,L,sine(wT)]**. I could add a sub r. to plot the resulting i, t
values, but would rather use my computer. LK kindly gave me T. BASIC,
but I notice others of you use Vis. BASIC. Is it worth the time
learning it (Long ago I used BASIC on several computers, so I should
learn TB very quickly).
