Re: Good popular books for 6-10 grade

That's quite a wide bracket.

I'm fond of biographies:
-- Surely You're Joking Mr. Feynman
\ What Do You Care What Other People Think
\ Tuva Or Bust
-- The Illustrated LONGITUDE
-- Never at Rest
-- Einstein: The Life and Times
-- Maria Mitchell: A Life in Journals and Letters
-- Franklin's Autobiography

Also, back when I was a sorcerer's apprentice I won a
-- Handbook of Chemistry and Physics
I still have it and still use it.
Not exactly a popular book, but ....
Impressively large book; not all that expensive.

If we are doing science in general (as opposed to
just physics) the list gets a lot longer.

AND BY THE WAY .....

If you are giving out presentation books, it is nice
to make up a fancy "bookplate" you can paste inside
the cover, customized the recipient's name and of
course with the name and logo of the event.

On a couple of occasions I won books with my name
applied to the cover in gold leaf; it was very
impressive at the time, but the gold leaf wears
off pretty quickly under normal handling.
