MARCH 28 AAPT PHYSICS BOWL DEADLINE

Attention High School Physics Teachers; enter your students in Physics
Bowl 2003 and receive national recognition for your school, your
students,
and yourself. Students will take a 40-question, timed, multiple-choice
test in the period of April 10-April 23, 2003. Exam questions are based
on
topics and concepts covered in a typical high school physics course. To
enter, each school must complete and mail an entry form and enclose
payment of $2.50 per exam plus shipping and handling charges. For more

THE PHYSICS TEACHER ONLINE

The Physics Teacher (TPT) is now available via the web. TPT Online is a
fully featured electronic version of the print journal. Go online to
view
current issues, as well as five years of back issues. Access to TPT
Online
will be free to anyone through August 5, 2003. During the free period,
you
will be able to perform limited searches on topics or authors of
interest.

AAPT MEMBERS CAN ATTEND FREE SESSIONS AT THE APRIL APS 2003 MEETING

AAPT members can attend, free of charge, all sessions sponsored by both
the Forum on Education and the Forum on History of Physics at the April
2003 APS meeting in Philadelphia, PA, April 5-8, 2003. Go to

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR AAPT AWARDS

The AAPT invites nominations for the Association's various awards. There
is no particular deadline for the awards. The nomination for a
particular
award should be in a form of a letter describing in detail the nominee's
contribution to physics and/or AAPT and how these contributions relate
to
the specific awards. For specific award descriptions, as well as
information on where to send nominations, please go to
