DECEMBER 22 REGISTRATION DEADLINE FOR AUSTIN MEETING

Save money! The pre-registration deadline for the 126th AAPT National
Meeting January 11-15, 2003 is December 22. No pre-registration
applications will be accepted after that date. More information can be

DECEMBER 22 CONTRIBUTED PAPERS & POSTERS DEADLINE FOR AUSTIN MEETING

You can still submit post-deadline contributed and poster abstracts up
until December 22 for the Winter Meeting in Austin, TX. Submit

APS & AAPT COMPLIMENTARY SESSION EXCHANGE

AAPT members can attend, free of charge, the sessions sponsored by the
Forum on Education at the April 2003 APS meeting in Philadelphia, PA,
April 5-8, 2003. Go to http://www.aps.org/meet/APR03 for general
information on this meeting.

APS members can attend, free of charge, the three plenary sessions at
the
January 2003 AAPT meeting in Austin, TX. To take advantage of this
opportunity, just stop by the onsite AAPT registration desk in Austin
and
pick up a complimentary pass. To get more information, go to

into
the keyword search box labeled "rest of program" to pull up the session

2003 U.S. PHYSICS TEAM TRAINING CAMP

The 2003 U.S. Physics Training Camp is scheduled May 16 - 26, 2003, in
the
Physics Department at the University of Maryland, College Park, MD.
The
U.S. Physics Team will be competing at the 34th International Physics
Olympiad Competition in Taipei, Taiwan, July 12 - 21, 2003. The
deadline
for filing an application is January 21, 2003. For more information on
the

UNDERGRADUATES CAN RECEIVE FREE ADMISSION TO 126TH AAPT NATIONAL
MEETING

Students can sign up to volunteer six hours of their time at the 126th
AAPT National Meeting in Austin, TX, January 11-15, 2003. In exchange,
they will receive free admission to the Austin Meeting and free
one-year
membership to AAPT. For more information, please contact
