NOBEL PRIZE WINNERS TO SPEAK IN AUSTIN IN JANUARY

As part of the National Meeting in Austin, there will be
science-oriented
presentations by active research physicists. Included will be talks on
Monday, January 13, 2003 by Nobel Prize winners Robert Richardson,
Steven
Weinberg, and Robert Schrieffer. For more information on the National

DECEMBER 1 DEADLINE FOR SCHOLARSHIP FOR FUTURE HIGH SCHOOL PHYSICS
TEACHER

The AAPT offers a scholarship for future high school physics teachers.
It
is supported by an endowment funded by Barbara Lotze. Undergraduate
students in, or planning to enter, physics teacher preparation programs
and high school seniors planning to enter such curricula are eligible.
