In England the year started on 25 March before 1752 (?) -- Would the Brits
really do this to themselves willingly!
So what happened on 25Mar1752? At least someone told me it was 1752.
What was the next day? 2Jan?
Is this the time England adopted the Gregorian Calendar? This can't be;
there are too many days lost/gained. If not , then when?
Did they just say to themselves that from then on they would think of 1 Jan
to be the New Year the way Jules intended or did they monkey with the calendar?
