Re: Yucca Mtn. This should raise some hackles

Sorry that this wasn't prompt. Yes, there is an environmental impact of
windmills. I recently read a (newspaper?) article in which a farm couple was
complaining about the incessant nonstop irritating whoosh-whoosh noise from
the windmills on their land. Also, there is concern for migratory birds.
Turns out that a lot of the good places for windmills are in flyways, and
quite a few birds get whacked by the windmills. It just goes to show that
there are no perfect solutions.

Has anyone done an analysis on the effect of windmills on our
environment? -- including the warming of the atmosphere by the churning
blades and the impact of the noise on our ears
