I'll be the third to respond. generally regarded as safe.

If it's ethylene glycol it's NOT GRAS. I was the self-appointed ESA (enviro.
safety officer) at a company that injection molded intraocular lenses. The
workers complained about the EG fumes, so I did a lit. search and found they
were right. the Pres. and majority stockholder was a good guy. He immediately
followed my recommendation to force ventilate the molding room.
