Announcer misprint (fwd)

Hi All,

The information in the Announcer for Session FG "Crackerbarrel on
Professional Concerns of Instructional Resource Specialists" is
wrong. This is particularly unfortunate because we have been building up
to this Crackerbarrel with Warren Hein for several years.

The Announcer should read, "Crackerbarrel on Professional Concerns of
Instructional Resource Specialists - The Faculty Perspective".

The abstract should read as follows:

For several years now Instructional Resource Specialists (people who work
in demonstration areas, instructional laboratories, resource centers, etc.)
have been meeting at these crackerbarrels to discuss their professional
concerns. Following are some recurring concerns. How do we get appropriate
recognition and compensation for what we do? How do we conduct ourselves in
an effective and professional manner while dealing with difficult
situations, faculty, or dept. chairs? Should we be part of the faculty and
if so how do we get there? How do we define what it means to be an
Instructional Resource Specialist? This year our panel will be regular
faculty members (past or present) willing to give us their realistic views
on these and other concerns. AAPT's Warren Hein will be one of the panel
members. Attendees are encouraged to bring topics for open discussion.

Lynn Aldrich from College Misercordia should have been recognized as an
Additional Author.

Please spread word of this important correction and of Warren Hein's
participation. I am hopeful this session will be extremely productive.

I hope you will attend and support this endeavor to improve our profession.

Note: At present the only panel member we have is Warn Hein, if you know
of someone else you would like to see on the panel, please let me know.

Take Care,

Dean
