Re: Five-planet Photo

Michael,

I have a similar camera (an Olympus 3040) that embeds extensive information
about each photo in something called the EXIF section of the corresponding
JPG file (I'm not quite sure what this is, but I have a graphics viewer
that can read and display the EXIF data on the computer). The EXIF data, if
present, include such information as the date and time of the photo,
exposure time, F-number, ISO speed, focal length, whether the flash was
used, and a few dozen other details. The JPG photo of the planets that you
posted did not contain this information, so I am wondering whether your
camera model supports this feature. It might be something that you have to
turn on via the camera's user menu. If it is available, you might want to
activate it so that you have a record of the settings for each of your
future photos.
