The NAU/NASA Space Grant proudly announces that its annual one day science teacher
workshop will take place this June 15, 2002 (a Saturday), from 9 am to 5 pm. The
location is the Wettaw BioChem lecture hall on the NAU campus. We will conduct
the Lunar Sample Certification workshop again, for those of you that have yet to
participate, but we will have two NASA outreach educators there to take us even
further into the astro-curriculum realm. We expect more than 40 teachers this
year, and perhaps more, so please reserve your spot early before we panic at the
numbers. A small stipend is also available.

for Native American high school students interested in astronomy. Dates are June
9-15, and all expenses are paid. If you know of a potentially interested student,
please direct them to the following url where more info and on-line application
forms may be found. Also, kindly pass this along to all of the high school
science teachers you may know anywhere in the USA--last year we had applicants
