It used be 3 1/2 in floppies now it is CD's. We have plenty of them
lying around thanks to AOL and other sources. They look neat.
What kind of uses have Phys-lers found for these CD's?

1. Diffraction grating
2. Hovercraft
3.Wheels for mousetrap cars.
4. Coaster for my teacup

Any other?

Herb Gottlieb adds:

5. Shotgun targets (instead of tossing up clay pidgeons)
6. Outdoor game of throw and catch
7. Carnival game. Toss them into a standard
5-1/2 inch diameter pot that is at least
5 feet away from you. (Try it! It's real fun.)
8. Template for drawing circles or Venn diagrams on a chalkboard.
9. Dropping target for "monkey and hunter" demos.
10 Electrostatic charge holders for electrostatic demos.
