Why not kill three birds with one expensive stone? Buy a digital
camcorder. Mine takes stills to a removable memory, plays regular and
Hi- 8 mm, captures stills to tape, converts composite video or
S-video to firewire (the removable mem. is read by USB-1), captures
short clips to mem. as MPEG, records to tape digitally from either S-vid
or composite, and, of course, records from it's CCD to tape digitally
(fire wire out). Maybe more, but that's what I've done so far.
