You might contact Bob Beichner at North Carolina State University.
He might have received your request via this list and might respond
to you on or off line.

Here is a quote from his web page concerning research in physics
education:  "His biggest current project is the creation and study of
a learning environment supporting a new way to teach called SCALE-UP:
Student-Centered Activities for Large Enrollment Undergraduate
programs."

As part of this program, they have designed classrooms.  I don't know
whether he has been involved in the design of High School classrooms
that are used for both Chem and Phys.
