that's what happens when one uses the fuse value and the Batt. voltage.
This would mean the the circuit is fused at ~5 X the steady state current.

bc who lives in Calif. where upper and lower beams are not both on,
except, momentarily, when "flashing" another auto'.

I'll now (well, soon) get out by handy dandy not necessary to break the
connection ammeter and measure it.

No, a typical headlamp is 55-60 watts, roughly double that for "brights"
(that's Michiganese for upper-beams-also-on).
