TENURE-TRACK FACULTY POSITION
North Carolina A&T State University
The Department of Physics at NCA&T anticipates filling one
tenure-track assistant professor position beginning August 2002. The
University, a land-grant institution, is an HBCU (Historically Black
College/University) enrolling approximately 8,000 students. The
successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate
physics courses, advise students, write proposals, acquire research
funding, conduct state-of-the-art research, participate in other
university activities, and interact with the community. Preference will
be given to those with research experience in physics education and/or
observational astronomy. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in physics or
astronomy. Applications will be reviewed beginning May 30, 2002, and the
review will continue until the position is filled. Applicants should
arrange to have a curriculum vitae, three letters of reference, a brief
statement of teaching philosophy, and a statement of research interests
