MODELING WORKSHOPS NATIONWIDE IN SUMMER 2002

MODELING WORKSHOPS NATIONWIDE IN SUMMER 2002.
updated Jan. 31, 2002 by Jane Jackson <jane.jackson@asu.edu>

Modeling Workshops range in duration from 1-week introductory workshops,
usually focusing on kinematics, to 4-week workshops that thoroughly treat
the pedagogy and content for the mechanics portion of a physics course.
Generally, workshops use whatever probes and interfaces are available at
the site.

All teachers are encouraged to ask for supplemental local school district
Title II funding. It may be appropriate for you to ask for up to $1000 in
Title II funds from your school to defray your expenses. A Modeling
Workshop can be an excellent investment for your school because you can
become a valuable resource for teaching science effectively with
technology!
