Don Polvani exactly described our situation. In a big pow-wow with the
administration in which all the scientists nearly went out on strike, the
administration agreed to a one-to-one ratio for lab credit hours to contact
hours. However, they said they could not afford to implement this
immediately so they would agree to a 2/3 credit per contact hour for the
interim period, and raise the ratio to 1:1 when the fiscal situation has
improved.
We've been doing the 2:3 ratio for about 10 years now.
