Just one other thing to keep in mind, in addition to being wary of persons
who blame the scientific establishment for not disseminating their pet ideas.
Maxwell's equations indicate that electromagnetic waves propagate at the
speed of light in a vacuum (c = 2.9979 X 10^8 m/s) only when the wave is
moving in a vacuum. In any physical medium e-m waves move more slowly than c.
