Re: displacement and graphs



Ken responded to my earlier question about why he thinks displacement and
velocity graphs should "mirror" one another:

The two ( displacement and velocity) are identical
in shape, not in value. I think position wrt some arbitrary reference is
fundamentally different from displacement in a time interval.

I see, now - you are thinking about "average velocity vs time" rather than
"instantaneous velocity vs time" while I was thinking of the latter.
