1. ONLINE COURSE SYLLABI

Do you have a course syllabus online that you might like to share with
other faculty teaching the same or a similar course? This might be a
valuable resource for new faculty members or faculty teaching the course
for the first time. You can submit the course information and URL for your
syllabus to a searchable online database. The URL for the database is
http://oliver.aapt.org/PSRC_forms/syllabi.html. Alternatively, you can
find a syllabus for a new course that you might be teaching or revising
next semester. Syllabi for introductory and advanced courses are
available.

2. THE PHYSICS TEACHER HOMEPAGE LAUNCHED

AAPT is pleased to debut a new homepage for The Physics Teacher,
http://www.aapt.org/tpt. Full-text of selected articles and columns from
the October issue are freely available now. Selections from future issues
will also be posted. The site also includes information for authors.

3. HIGH SCHOOL GRANTS FOR INNOVATIVE TEACHING

AAPT has grants ranging from $100 to $500 for high school teachers to
support innovative physics programs that seek to increase student
enrollment or to enhance student achievement in physics. Deadline for
applying for one of these grants is November 1, 2001.

4. THE ONLINE OCTOBER 2001 ISSUE OF AMERICAN JOURNAL OF
PYSHICS IS NOW AVAILABLE

The latest edition of the American Journal of Physics is now available
online at http://ojps.aip.org/ajp/.

5. COLOR IMAGES OF PHYSICS PHENOMENA NOW IN ONLINE CATALOG

AAPT is now selling a new Ztek product through the AAPT online catalog.
Color Images of Physics Phenomena is a CD-ROM that contain 360 images
which capture physical phenomena that are difficult to produce in a
laboratory. Lessons covering 28 physics concepts, along with an elaborate
