The North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University Department of
Physics invites applications for one visiting assistant professorship position
to replace a faculty member on leave during the 2001-2002 academic year. We
seek a candidate with the Ph.D. in Physics who is interested in teaching at the
undergraduate and graduate level. The candidate is expected to collaborate in a
research program with our growing Condensed Matter Experimental Research Group,
with emphasis on fundamental research on transition metal oxides, Kondo
insulators, heavy fermion systems and functional nanostructures. The position
