Re: special relativity: accelerated frames



I, too, used to wonder how applying my car brakes can put the distant
stars into motion so that new gravimagnetic forces come into play. But
this is no different from observing a new magnetic field when you go into
motion relative to a (previously) static charge. I DO control the
(relative) motion of the stars ( and everything else) when I use my brakes
and accelerator! In my conceptualization, I am not changing the effects
of the stars in any absolute sense- I am merely changing my view of an
already existing reality.

I ALSO have to wonder how my little Saturn is able give the highway
such a tremendous amount of KE and have the brakes absorb it . . .
